7 Tips to improve battery life for android phone

Just to share some tips to improve battery consumption on your android device. I believe when you buy new hand phone , some says that you need to charge the battery for at least 8 hour for the first time. It is just to make ion2 in battery cell to activate. But actually is it really need to do so.? Back in 10 years ago i believe you should do it, but right now it is not necessary. You just charge the phone until the battery full and then you can just unplugged it. It is because the new battery technology has already improve this problem.

Ok back in the topic discussion here. Here a few tips to share to improve the battery consumption on your android device.

Do not use phone while charging

This is simple thing to do. Do not use your phone while charging it. I believe when you need to call someone for a long time maybe couple of hour, people just charge the phone and call their boyfriend or girlfriend while charging it. It is a bad situation for a battery to charge and in a same time need to transfer energy to phone.
When the phone charging, the temperature of battery also increase at the same time you are using the phone also will increase the battery temperature. Do you know letting the phone get too hot can impact the battery life.? It is not very general knowledge to know but enough if you get the idea  do not let your phone in high heat. keep the phone out of heat.

Use auto brightness

It is good if your phone have the sensor to automatically increase or decrease the screen brightness. As you can see in Setting >> battery  it is always show that screen is the most percentage battery consumption .
So what you need to do is to set it for auto brightness, hence the batery consumption on screen will be decrease.

Reduce screen timeout if not active

It is necessary to do this because sometime you are talking to other person while the screen active
hence will cause battery drain for nothing. It is necessary to set the interval as short as possible to increase battery life.
Some device now come with new technology like smart stay. This technology actually will use front camera and focus on the eye of user to check if user currently look at the phone or not. The idea is to dim the screen if user not look at the phone but unfortunately from my experience this functionality actually drain your battery very fast rather than improve it. Maybe i wrong, feel free to prove it by your self.

Perform Full Cycle of Charge

Do the full charge of your phone. It is recommended to do full charge every month. The way to do this is you need to make your phone battery percentage at 0% ~3% until your phone die. And then make a full charge from 0% ~ 100%. This is to calibrate the battery percentage level and also will improve your life of battery.

Disable unused app in background for sync

The background processing is a good idea but it sometime will cost your battery. As a user of smart phone, you need to be smart enough also to use it. Turn the sync off for unused application in background process. This is to avoid high charge of your 3g data plan and also will reduce battery consumption.

Enable power saving mode

If you do not want to use 3rd party application to run a saving mode on your phone, just use the stock application to run the power saving mode if your battery percentage level is under certain level. For example, if your battery level currently is at 20%, then the power saving mode will enable to turn off any possible feature on your android device to make is run in very basic functionality. So it is will impact on the battery consumption hence improve the battery life.

Turn Off Phone Vibration

If you realize, actually this feature will drain your battery so much. Turn it off if you want to stretch the battery in a busy day.
